In this photo there is a much better view of the decorative and striking half-timbering of the exterior of Plas Newydd added by General Yorke, which makes such an impact on first sight of the house. Also notice the large stones in the foreground, which are representative of a circle of bardic stones dedicated to Welsh poets used in the 1908 Llangollen National Eisteddfod.
